UltraSight®, LASIK and Allegretto Wave PDF Print E-mail

Dr. Alexander knows that like fingerprints, each eye is unique. That's why he is expertly trained in cutting-edge refractive surgery, including the brand-new, FDA-approved Allegretto Wave technology used in conjunction with Intralase to provide a bladeless all laser LASIK procedure. Dr. Alexander can help improve your vision to the maximum extent possible.

The Allegretto Wave laser is based, to some degree, on developments to help reduce the distortion one might see when viewing objects positioned in outer space. This technology allows for a complete, personalized surgical procedure that takes into account the shape of the eye, imperfections, refractive errors, and vision conditions (such as impaired night vision or presence of halos). After the eye is evaluated, Dr. Alexander develops the individualized surgical plan for you, one that results in the best outcome possible in meeting your vision correction goal and needs. The Allegretto, coupled with the bladeless creation of the flap with the IntraLase laser, to produce highly accurate results - in fact, 86% of our patients tell us that - following their UltraSight surgery - they can see better than they did with their eyeglasses or contacts.

UltraSight LASIK surgery is performed almost identically to other types of refractive procedures. The main difference is that other surgeries do not incorporate WaveScan technologies. Although both types are extremely safe and successful, UltraSight procedures are more likely to optimally correct impaired night vision, double vision, halos, glares, astigmatism, and high myopia.
